Dhanteras and it's significance

As we all know Dhanteras is one of the major Hindu festival associated with wealth and prosperity. Which is also known as Dhantrayodashi, devotees offer their prayers and respects to Lord Kubera and Goddess Lakshmi.  This year, Dhanteras will be celebrated on Friday, November 13, 2020. It also, marks the first day of Diwali celebrations. The auspicious day, which is observed two days before Diwali, also marks the beginning of the celebrations for the ‘Festival of Lights’. It is believed that on Dhanteras, Goddess Lakshmi resides at home, which is why there is an unsaid practice to clean up the household and design imprints of little feet on the floor with a mixture of rice and flour.  On Dhanteras, there is another long-standing practice of buying gold. Who is Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj - A brief introduction

As we all are familiar to the name of Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj but we are not aware of about his complete biography and why he is in controversy since 2007 so let's know about him without wasting any time. Actually Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj was born on 8 September 1951 in Village Dhanana, Tehsil Gohana, District Sonipat , Haryana in a family of farmers. His parents were Bhakt Nandram and Bhaktmati Indradevi. After obtaining a diploma in Engineering he appointed as a J.E. in the irrigation department of Haryana Government. Due to religious nature from his childhood he continuously worshipped Hanuman Ji for 25 years and recited Hanuman Chalisa seven times daily, and for eighteen years consecutively went to a famous temple of Hanuman Ji in a village Salahsar in district Churu ,Rajasthan to do worship. Across the world, Hindu community celebrate the festival of Navratri (Nine nights) by worshipping goddess Durga. It is celebrated in post monsoon period in the months of September and October. A lot of people do fasting and put pandals, decorate them, offer puja. They also organise events in which garba and dandiya are played during Navratri. It is celebrated to commemorate the victory of goddess Durga to restore Dharma i.e victory of  good over evils. Gautama Buddha was a virtuous soul who came from Vishnu Loka. Once for his salvation he started doing self-will-meditation (hatha yoga) under a banyan tree in Bihar. He also stopped eating. After some days when his body became weaker & was about to die, an old woman came and fed him some kheer. On the first day he ate something and the next day some more.  In this way he started eating and declared that "Starvation cannot lead to Salvation". When he didn't get the way of salvation, he became a preacher & gained many followers as well.  But due to absence of true devotional path and lack of right guru, his method of worship went wrong.
